MSUSA Semester Recap
Hello everyone! The Minnesota State University Student Association had a busy fall semester working to ensure the student voice was heard in the state of Minnesota.
2010 was an election year and the students of MSUSA worked tirelessly to ensure your voice was heard. We were able to collect 3,878 voter contacts during this year’s GOTV efforts. This was especially impressive as this is over 100 more contacts than we collected during our 2008 efforts which were supported by a $20,000 grant we were unable to obtain this year. Congratulations to all the student workers who made this possible. We would also like to recognize Annelise Hughes for winning the MSUSA GOTV activist of the year award.
We held our annual Fall Delegates in Saint Paul, MN November12-14. During the conference we passed our legislative agenda for the year and elected a new treasurer. Congratulations to Nicole Sabby from Minnesota State University, Mankato. We look forward to working with you.
The 23rd annual Penny Program Reception and Silent Auction was held at The Depot in Saint Paul, MN this year. Over $7,000 was raised. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this fundraiser a success. Visit www.msusa.org/pennyprogram to learn how you can donate to or apply for the Penny Program.
