The Alumni Association Board will be meeting on Wednesday, June 9th, 6:00 pm at the MSUSA Office in Saint Paul. The Board will be continuing to move forward on it's three priorities: Mentorship, Advocacy, and Networking. The Board will also be electing a Chair.
Interim Chair Position Open
Applications for the Alumni Association Chair position will be accepted until June 8, 2010. Applications can be downloaded at www.msusa.org/alumni. Applicants should complete an application and submit it to Secretary/Treasurer Dusty Finke. The interim Chair position term will be until Spring 2011.

The Penny Program's 17th Annual Golf Scramble will be held on Thursday, June 3rd at The Jewel in Lake City, MN. With 30 teams registered, over $2,700 in raffle and silent auction items donated, and a training clinic happening, this year should turn out to be a great event! Penny Program Hiring Development Intern
The Penny Program would like to invite candidates to apply for the position of Development Intern by sending a resume and cover letter to Kari Winter by Wednesday, June 9th. Interns are asked to work 400 hours within a 6 month period mostly from the MSUSA Office in Saint Paul. The intern will be paid $3,000 per 400 hours. Penny Program Announces Award Winners
The Penny Program would like to congratulate it's Spring 2010 award winners!
William Rohla is a student at MSU Moorhead and was awarded $5,000 to intern with Senator Kent Conrad in Washington D.C.
John Parro is a student at St. Cloud State University and was awarded $2,500 to intern with Congresswoman Michele Bachmann in her Woodbury, MN office.
Shanna Decker is a student at Winona State University and was awarded $1,500 for her community service work with cancer and amputee patients.
Jared P. Stene Student Leadership Scholarship Announces Award Winner
The JPS Scholarship Advisory Board would like to congratulate Cheree Johnson, a student at Bemidji State University, for being chosen as the first JPS Scholarship award winner! Cheree will be given $500 to help cover the cost of her textbooks. Cheree is a sophomore, majoring in Marketing Communication. She believes, "Leadership is more than just knowing how to guide people.
