A Preview Of Epic Proportions (February Conference 2012)
Tomorrow, Friday, February 10, 2012 marks the start of the February Board and Campus Committee Conference at St. Cloud State University. The two day conference kicks off Friday night with a review of our association's operating documents. We review our documents on a two year cycle to make any necessary changes to reflect the direction of the board and operations of the association.
Following Internal Affairs on Friday night is the MSUSA Alumni Social at D.B. Searle's in downtown St. Cloud! Students will have the opportunity to meet and greet with MSUSA Alumni and hear about the "Good 'ol Days" when they were involved in MSUSA.
Saturday morning will come early with 7:30 a.m. registration and breakouts for the board and campus committee immediately following. The remainder of the morning will be spent discuss the association's budgeting process and reviewing a preliminary budget for Fiscal Year 2013 which begins July 1, 2012. After this initial budget presentation, officers, Elsbeth Howe our Executive Director and potentially other MSUSA Staff will travel to campuses presenting the budget and hearing feedback from the student senates on all seven campuses.
After a delicious the Board of Directors meeting will convene. MnSCU Trustee Brett Anderson will be present to hear any campus issues and discuss upcoming board action. The MSUSA Board will also take a position on the proposal to increase the MnSCU Revenue Fund Bonding Authority, vote to approve funding for website redesign and discuss the proposed conference schedule for 2012-2013.
