U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar meets with Students at Minnesota State University Moorhead

Moorhead, MN — U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar will be meeting with students from the Minnesota State University Student Association (MSUSA) at Minnesota State University Moorhead (MSUM) in the Comstock Memorial Union Ballroom on Sunday, February 19 at 5:30 pm.
Senator Klobuchar will be meeting with students to address important higher education issues including the future of the Pell Grant, Federal Student Loan programs and President Obama’s Higher Education Initiatives.
Kim Ehrlich, MSUM student body president and MSUSA board member said, “We are excited for the opportunity to talk to Senator Klobuchar about the importance of the Pell Grant Program and Federal Student Loan programs to the students of the Minnesota state universities.“
Amanda Bardonner, State Chair of Minnesota State University Student Association added, “Preserving these programs is vital to the future success of all Minnesota students and we look forward to hearing the Senator’s ideas on maintaining the viability of these programs well into the future. “
Established in 1967, MSUSA is an independent, non-profit organization funded and operated by students. MSUSA serves the students attending Minnesota’s state universities in Bemidji, Mankato, Marshall (Southwest), Moorhead, St. Cloud, St. Paul/Minneapolis (Metropolitan), and Winona.
